Geometric Lord Krishna Portrait is the debut artwork of Series 2 and the beginning of an entirely new visual world. Where Series 1 drew its geometry from the ornamentation of an Indian classical dancer, Series 2 draws from the most beloved form in Indian devotional tradition: Lord Krishna, the blue-skinned divine, the flute player, the charioteer, the god of love and cosmic order.

This portrait renders Krishna in the same geometric low-poly language the Sparks & Noises signature but in a completely new palette. Saffron amber blazes as the background, the colour of sunrise, of marigolds, of sacred fire. Cobalt blue structures his face and headdress, referencing his divine blue form. Warm gold traces his circular ornaments, his peacock disc crown, the beads at his neck. Terracotta coral burns at his cheek and chest. Deep black outlines every plane.

He faces right. In profile the moment before the flute reaches his lips, or the moment after the Gita has been spoken. Either way, something sacred is happening.
